Icefeather padded through the hills silently, other than the echos through the deserted landscape. The StarClan Medicine cat felt the chill, and reveled in it, remembering StarClan's… perfectness. She could see the dip in the land a while away, and started a trot, then remembered the aprentice following her and stopped. Eager to get there, the snappish cat turned around. "Hurry up already!" She snapped at Dapplepaw. Tags: @ree, Pawsfun

Dapplepaw had never traveled quite this far before, and her young paws were far from used to the activity. She did her best to keep up with Icefeather, though she'd often lag behind and end up having to sprint to catch up...which only served to wear her out faster. Icefeather was in a hurry, though, so she simply kept doing her best and tried not to complain about the discomfort.
"S-sorry," she breathed out as she caught up to her mentor yet again.

Icefeather slowed down as they got closer, and she turned and smiled at the she-cat.
"It's okay. I can't wait to show you the Small Hollow!" Iceafesther spotted a rabbit and leaped after itn forgetting her death. She leapt on the body, and watched in confusement as it went throughher body. "Ooops." She muttered.

Dapplepaw purred. "I'm looking forward to seeing it." It was a sort of secret place, after all. Or, at the very least, special.
She watched as Icefeather sprang onto a rabbit, only for her body to go through the prey. Her ears twitched and she dropped into her best hunter's crouch, staring at Icefeather inquiringly. Should she try for it?

Dapplepaw let out a quiet purr at her mentor's words. She couldn't wait to see it for herself!
At Icefeather's go-ahead, Dapplepaw made her way toward the rabbit, doing her best to keep her footfalls light and her belly and tail off the ground. When she thought she was close enough, she leaped at the rabbit, aiming to pin it down and perform a killing bite on the back of its neck.

Icefeather sat down and started to groom herself. She watched Dapplepaw hunting the rabbit.
"We'll take a rest. I'll tell you the story of the Small Hollow.

It was a sloppy kill, in the end. Dapplepaw had misjudged her leap and and temporarily snagged her prey's tail. The rabbit struggled free a split second before Dapplepaw's jaws closed on its neck. Since it moved, her bite was thrown off, but what she had done had stunned her prey so she was able to kill it properly. She'd been fortunate enough to have a warrior teach her the bare basics of hunting and fighting in the times she spent awake.
Dapplepaw dragged the rabbit back to her mentor. She wasn't sure if StarClan could eat live prey, but it seemed the polite thing to do. She purred at the mention of the rest and the story and sat down to listen.

Icefeather watched, impressed. This cat had never trained as a warrior, and most wouldn't even get it.
Icefeather was flattered as she dragged it to her. "Oh, no. You have the first bite." She assurd her. "You caught it."
As she waited for her to take the first bite, Icefeather started her story.
"Long ago, the Clans were nothing more than a group of cats, with no honour and the warrior code. They fought many battles, and mamy cats were killed in these meaningless fights.
"There as a cat. His name was Lightning. He and his closest friends, Reed, Cloud and Mist were on a journey to escape the ferocity. Along the way, Reed fell in love with a cat named Forest, and he tagged along.
"They reached a small hollow, where they decided to make their home. On the first night there, they all recieved a dream about the fallen cats. They told them the fighting had to stop.
"Lightning, Forest, Reed and Mist journeyed back. Cloud stayed behind, forming CloudClan. You can still see their pawprints there today, but no-one knows what happened to CloudClan.
"The friends created the four Clans we live in today."
She ended the story with silence.

Dapplepaw blinked at Icefeather, ears flicking. She opened to her mouth to ask if she was sure, but closed it again. Of course she was sure, or she wouldn't have offered. Instead, Dapplepaw dipped her head. "Thank you. I had a warrior teach me the basics about hunting and fighting. I heard medicine cats have to learn some of that stuff, too, and I wanted to start early."
Icefeather then started her story. Dapplepaw took a bite of the rabbit and chewed as she listened. Her eyes widened when she realized it was about the formation of the clans, and her ears perked up, taking in every word. She hunched a bit at the mention of CloudClan disappearing. That was sad. They didn't all die, did they?
When Icefeather finished her story, Dapplepaw swallowed her mouthful. "I hope CloudClan's still doing okay, whatever happened."
